  1. For such a wacky premise, the story was a fairly standard FF adventure. I did enjoy it, but really expected more silliness and absurdity. Ah well.

Your discussion with Kris was actually far more interesting than the story. Which may be more of a mark of the book's promise. It fired the imaginations of the readers with "what about" questions galore. It was very fun to listen to.

    Nuff said!

  2. You talked again about Spider-Man with his problems solved not having the Spider-Man stories we're used to. Your discussion of that previous What If must have been in my mind when I was watching "Far from Home." Peter getting picked up by his chaufer with a fresh change of clothes solved his relatable problem of being lost in a strange city (heck, country!) to more quickly concentrate on his more special effects friendly problems.

The Fantastic Four -- Stan, Jack, Flo, and... Roy? I know Kirby apologized for the "Houseroy" to Funky Flashman, but I don't know if he would have gone this far. Sol is a better idea. At least he doesn't compound the chronological conundrum Kris conjectures.
